Swimming and paddling in Ruislip Lido
Swimming is NOT permitted in Ruislip Lido any more.
Whilst there is nobody there to stop you (or equally save you if you get in trouble) the water is considered unfit to swim in. Equally whilst people do paddle in there again the water could be considered an issue.

Ironically years ago there were large swimming areas and a lifeguard position off-shore in a rowing boat to help anyone getting in trouble. There is no longer a lifeguard at Ruislip Lido - and thanks to Guy Hadwin for the picture of him in the boat above and all the other pictures on the web site of a very flooded Ruislip Lido
